If you just mumbled to yourself “so what,” then we aren’t a good fit – but let me try to explain anyway.

I estimate that most naming agencies would not present 75% of their names to the client if the agency were forced to also provide a comprehensive US trademark search and opinion. That means we are screening out the trash. Actually, we are screening out way more than the trash. After all, we are not just having an entry level employee play around with direct “knock-out” search results, as is done by most naming agencies. We are considering all the legal aspects surrounding the federal protection of a brand name, as well as risks presented by state registrations and common law usage.

Imagine, this is just one more step, and headache, that you don’t need to deal with. You have the ammunition to present your chosen name (and formal legal opinion) to your in-house legal team and obtain their buy-in. Just consider the cost savings this provides.

We aren’t right for you, UNLESS your highest priority is having a great name that is protectable and doesn’t expose you to undue risk.
