Yep, the Wobble™ naming service has a refund policy! I don’t know of any other naming consultants with a refund policy.

Here it is in simple terms.

If you retain us for a naming project and naturally fall in love with one of the names we propose, and we file a US trademark application; we will refund 100% of the fees associated with the engagement if the application is not approved for publication. I am sure you are wondering “why the ‘approved for publication’ language?” Well, because whether or not an application matures to registration is dependent upon your actions, not ours; and whether an application is opposed by a 3^rd party after publication is outside our control (after all, there are aggressive brand owners that oppose applications on very flimsy basis). Obviously our process encourages us to only propose names that we have the utmost confidence in!

If you retain us for a naming project, don’t like the options we present, and agree that you will not use any of the proposed names for 10 years, we will refund 50% of the fees associated with the engagement. If you take us up on this refund and then turn around and used any of the proposed names, or derivatives thereof, then you agree to pay us twice the amount that was refunded.

How is that for having “skin in the game”!
